Houston we have a problem... but this is too cool!

My heart goes out to all of the good people in Texas who are suffering through the effects of Hurricane Harvey.

(the not so good ones, like Ted "Fuck them Hurricane Sandy Victims" Cruz and Joel "Hell no you can't come into my church!  It's only for paying Christains!" Osteen can go choke on a bag of waterlogged dicks.)

That said, this is so far past cool that my head's about to burst.

Yeah that is!

That is a statue of the inimitable Stevie Ray Vaughan standing in the middle of a Texas Flood.  It can NEVER get cooler than that!

This is what it looks like dry:

I by no means want to make light of what's happening down there... but that photo is so cool!

Some people remember where they were when they heard Elvis died, or JFK, or John Lennon. For me it's SRV...

Great photo

We were born on the same day

Your image for the dry statue doesn't show on my iPad, so here's a link

That is an amazing picture! Stevie Ray Vaughn walks on water :)

My two contributions to the discussion: in luthier school as we glued up everything that cracked with polyvinyl acrylate (crazy glue), the legend passed around was that Stevie Ray Vaughn would play so hard his calluses would come off and bleed and he would crazy glue them back on and keep right on playing. Could be true!

The other is, I went to art school with Ralph (sculptor)! We took classes together and I knew his girlfriend, later wife, also an artist. He was a star even back then. Also is a very handsome man :)
