Halloween is the best. The horror and gore version of Halloween, not so much for me, but the masquerade, the costumery, the spectacle.

The fun. That’s Halloween.

Our local theater town throws a parade each year on Halloween afternoon, Main St. closed to traffic, while the Children’s Parade takes place.

There are children, of course... some.

Happy Halloween!  Rain forecast here today - youngest will be at work today as Andy Warhol... he's been into him since I gave him the children's book called Uncle Andy, by Warhol's nephew. Now, it's Velvet Underground that appeals more, but.... hope to get a glimpse, at least!

Nice!

Glad to help, FM  : )

Maybe I ought to just have some of my endless garden photos, next..... easy on the eyes, nothing taxing for the brain or emotions......(sounds boring as hell, but.)

I am outrunning some end-of-garden season depression....may be good to re-visit Summer.

(...not having so much election depression as that was in place already.)

I'm still smiling at your comment - ahhh. smiling is good.

Ummm...

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!!

Outside today with winter prep and some work projects to do later - one done already - no costumes for me this year but had a funny chat in the store with a stranger who turned out to live behind us on other street about buying Halloween candy when you know your neighborhood doesn't get many kids. She's looking away for the kind she likes, I'm there looking for the kind my grandgirls like...

Anyway, this was two years ago this parade, skipping it this year, but, it's a holiday folks, a non-serious one, so...

F***ing Happy Halloween already!

(heehee  : ))

BTW, I set aside my horror at the GMO-filled, nano-particle-filled poison that is called candy today for this cute and silly holiday currently celebrating costumery and folderol. I protest and demand better food products every other day of the year.

Like shouting about water control in the midst of a tsunami to gripe about bad food industry today.

Today, I ignore it all. Ruins the fun.

HI Monkey!  Happy Halloween  : )

The older grandgirl picked m & ms and junior mints. Kids gravitate to one particular neighborhood here, regardless of where they live. Makes it awfully quiet in our neighborhood, but the parade is fun. This is a great little town, certainly full of passionate to their cause types. It used to be more quirky but wineries are moving north from Napa and are taking over a lot of the PacNW gentrifying places. It's lovely here. not perfect but the land especially has me and so many loving it here. The very diverse minded and opinionated local people can be theatrical too and the arts are supported in schools so they/we put on great parades all year - fun : ) Definitely can feel like a bubble as many tourist towns do.
