I think it was Suzanne on Facebook (Zanelle as she was known here) who said she watches Rachel Maddow and gets terrified.

Well, ditto. And I wonder why everyone else isn't running around with their hair on fire – you all bald or something?

Two nights ago, w. additions last night, she outlined how Putin has scored mightily in undermining, if not taking over, the American government. Tillerson was buds with Putin, and they have a common interest in getting Russian oil liberated from sanctions, but he was not known to Trump – yet gets appointed Sec. of State. Upon which all ambassadors are fired and the top people in the dept. at home are fired and the dept. is “hollowed out” in her words. Foreign policy appears to be in the hands of T's inner circle and Tillerson not on hand. Except now he's flown off to Asia – and, as a “cost-saving” measure he's not taking any pesky reporters with him.

Piece today in ye olde Salon about how T is placing many many trusties in various govt. departments, his “eyes and ears” and I daresay his (altogether too big) hands.

The whole Russian thing... and the Repubs don't care, cuz they're wallowing in FULL POWER AT LAST and the chance to stomp on the sick and the poor and impose their idiot-ologies, and they're altogether quite happy to go along with Russian style governance cuz, guess what, really quite sympatico ... and the top guys in both systems can loot the world w.o. interference.

Wikileaks, as an arm of Russia, is now undermining the CIA.

Who can we look to to do anything? The media? CNN and MSNBC busy hiring Trump supporters. Hopefully the lyin' WaPo and the failing NYT can make some inroads...

Meanwhile, watching to see if Maddow (and O'Donnell) get disappeared... And maybe Colbert - he's getting quite savage.

P.S. - US troops on the ground in Syria, oh joy.

It's not going the way I envisioned 4 months and a day ago.

Sorry to say, but at some point Rachel Maddow got on my last nerve. Still, hope she doesn't get disappeared Myriad.

Check this out - Pro Publica on staffing.

And then this guy objecting for men having to pay for prenatal coverage. Because apparently ala carte medical insurance is a thing. "I would like coverage for torn ligaments but not broken bones, please."

I think I'm not lighting my hair on fire because I believe we can survive this, too. We're strong enough. Then we just have to clean up the mess. 45's mess so far doesn't include bombing the shit out of hundreds of thousands of people and killing off & maiming thousands of our own to the tune of x trillion on the credit card. So far.

But once he's gone we have to put a stop to it. I don't know how many times we can bounce back or how frequently.

Maddow is by far the most informative person working on TV today. It's absolutely worth it to overlook her joyful idiosyncrasy to learn from her. Chris Hayes is not far behind and O'Donnell gets good insiders to comment.

R&L may we endure the mark of the Beast "45"

We need to quit bouncing back the way we have in the past, we need to find a way to bounce forward. The old system is what allowed this to happen.

The "Law and Order President " has asked for the resignations of 46 US Attorneys. in addition to the careeriists at the State Department...

What’s happening is comprehensive and  methidical. ..

I'm afraid that even an assassination won't reverse the impact of what is being done...

Indeed,  when enough damage has been done  Trump, himself, may very well be deemed disposable....

You described this great. A friend of mine said about those who voted for Trump that voting for him was like ignoring the smell from Auschwitz. The guy who said it isn't Jewish and was worried I might be offended. Actually, I think the phrase is remarkably apt.
