Thanks for the good times.
Just heard the news. Thanks for this.
i hadn't heard
oh no.this is is awful.
He had an awesome life. That's all we can ask for.
I hadn't heard. :-( I once knew a guy in KC who said he spent a few hours in the downtown St. Louis holding tank with Chuck, and I believe him. Am going to go find Roll Over Beethoven and all the rest of his stuff on YouTube and play it loud as I can without bothering the neighbors, which is pretty loud in this neighborhood.
uhmhmm sometimes words such as Genius do not capture.
Just heard the news. He lived 90 years and made his mark. R&L
Thanks for stopping in. I haven't seen all of that movie "Hail,Hail Rock 'n' Roll." Those performances were quite rehearsed. My long ago friend Robert Cray is in the back playing with that British guy.
What intrigued me about Berry in part was that when he toured he didn't take a band. He played with pick up bands, locals who he hoped could keep up. A friend of mine who still fronts a band used to travel with me a bit and we'd do that do. We'd announce there would be a dance at the Elks club somewhere and ask for bass and drums to show up. The old folks would tucker out after an hour and then we'd kick it up a notch.
An awesome life is all we can ask for one has said here.
He certainly had that.
