I just took my dog Mabel out at 9:00. We’re supposed to get serious weather here.
She’s shaking the snow off. What you see in the background is a local service for hire plowing and snow blowing driveways. The road hasn’t been plowed yet and it’s still snowing hard, hard to see because it’s a fine snow. Later we get 40 MPH winds. You can imagine what that will do to wind chills.
Mabel not shaking. Still not a good shot, but the falling snow may be an issue. I’m on a porch.
I’m due to fly out of Syracuse tomorrow late afternoon on a short business trip to California. My ability to do that may be in some doubt.
We hadn’t had much snow here yet.
For those of you who don’t understand the title, the Southern Tier is the region of New York State bordering on Pennsylvania to the south. Binghamton, Elmira, Corning, I think even Ithaca, though that’s a bit further north. The main highway across the Southern Tier actually dips into Pennsylvania for a few miles. I have no idea why.
