Yes it is!

the black vote was pivotal!

This is the nightmare the republicans feared would happen nine years ago. This is why they tried to diminish obama - he inspired hope in the silent nonvoting people of color, the young, women.

It took a degenerate idiot to reawaken the sleeping giant.

Power to the people!

Excellent news.

What I found amazing though was that 7% of Black males and 3% of Black females voted for Moore.  Are they insane or just crazy???

BTW, the 74% white men and 65% of the white women who supported that pedophile prick have absolutely ZERO excuse either.

you mean aside from being from Alabama?

What this election means is I may lose the right to say that. Glad to lose it.

Unlike Trump supporters, Alabamans have limits.

They have been taught the Dunning School lies of Slavery and Reconstruction, sadly some of the folks who maintained those fabrications could have been portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson and had their own greed as the source of the 'insanity'. As these cruel fairy tales finally become exposed to all, rather than limited to very few in a very intentionally 'constructed' way, the truth will finally show the way forward. It is the denial of these crimes that has crippled our country, to the point that we could have saved the whole world by now if not for it.

The tweet attributed to Pense's soon to be predecessor credits 'write-in" votes for his fellow sex assaulter's loss.

As I said on Kosher's post, Alabama entered the 21st Century without ever getting into the 20th. Unfortunately, it took a pedophile to get the state there. Looks like you and I are of the same mind.

I believe trump will continue to inspire reaction and resistance via fear, disgust and our collective horror witnessing the daily diminishment of the office of the presidency.

What I find most inspiring is "country over party", the words sen. Flake wrote on the donation he made to the campaign of doug jones. Even condolesa rice has weighed in.. We are witnessing an awakening.

We're starting to see true states persons vs politicians. And the People determined to take their rightful place in governing.

Trump oughta be the last one bringing up the write-in votes, since those votes were from people who couldn't bring themselves to vote for the pedophile Trump supported. Beyond that, it's also the case that Trump lost his own election by nearly 3 million votes, and only won the electoral vote because of votes that went to Jill Stein, which were pretty much the equivalent of write-in votes.

Its a very exciting night tonight!

I threw all caution to the wind and made myself a late night celebratory bowl of cereal when I heard the news!
