Kind of a strange feeling. As a mechanic my whole life,I'm used to many times when a repair had portions that were done by feel,as in you can't see area your working on.Over the years with multiple finger and hand injuries i've had to re-adjust which hand and/or fingers to use due to loss of feeling and/or mobility. This latest damage to my right hand presents a new challenge though.Although the hand has healed, the middle and little fingers have no feeling and very little movement, and the index has movement but no feeling.Normally this would just be a minor inconvenience, but,I work part time repairing a fleet of vehicles a friend of mine has for his company. And i'm dropping a lot of stuff. So here's the "cure".....I taped magnets to the inside of two fingers to 'catch' slipped bolts and nuts when working 'blind'....works pretty damn good too, though it makes the crooked fingers look even wierder. But,as my daughter said....'Dad,your hands were pretty ugly before this last damage,so no biggy'....

Thanks babe....

Though an office worker, I am fairly handy and so used to do most of my household repairs.  But now, I can barely kneel down (at age 66, post knee operation years ago) to get under a sink or work behind a toilet.  And with these, even shutting off supply lines can be by feel.  (I am 6'3" so that makes it worse).  so i sympathize fully.

I feel for you brother, between arthritis and diabetes my hands are all but useless.  I gave up working on cars over forty years ago.  Be better, be well.
