Free Now and Unchained

The fields are green but there’s the rain

It’s like this never ending pain

What could I have to gain?

Oh my Lorraine my sweet Lorraine,

Like a bright strawberry stain

Struck down by a car in the lane

My heart is throbbing once again

Oh my Lorraine my sweet Lorraine,

When I first saw you on the plane

Never knew you’d be an emotional drain

Never knew you could drive this man insane

Oh my Lorraine my sweet Lorraine,

Are you going out again? Are you going out again?

Don’t you know it seems like such a strain

Some needs just cannot be restrained

Oh my Lorraine my sweet Lorraine,

Things will just never feel the same

Where ever I go and from where I came

It was never a joke it was never a game

Oh my Lorraine my sweet Lorraine,

Why did you treat me with so much disdain?

Was it your spirit that I constrained?

I’m sure you’re free now and unchained

Oh my Lorraine my sweet Lorraine.
