Federal Judge in Texas Rules Entire Obamacare Law Unconstitutional

Federal Judge in Texas Rules Entire Obamacare Law Unconstitutional:  In response to Republican challenges and recent changes in federal tax law, a federal judge in Texas ruled that the entire Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) law is unconstitutional - a ruling which could leave millions uninsured as well as those with pre-existing conditions uninsurable.

Wow, sounds like that judge really learned how to interpret the law while he was at Trump University.  But not to worry, the President is promising the nation that Republicans will eventually try and come up with some kind of an alternate plan and - “Mexico is gonna pay for it!”  What a relief!

Now I’ve gotta hand it to Trump and the Republicans, what a genius move to cut off millions of people’s health care without having a replacement.  Under their expert guidance, it appears that barbarians, cannibals and self-serving swine will be about all that’s left in America after Trump and the GOP are finished with us.

But in the meantime, the Administration has compassionately agreed to send out First Lady Melania Trump - all dressed up in the latest trendy fashions - to visit key American cities to remind everyone how important it is now that their healthcare coverage is about to disappear faster than Trump’s attention span, to “try their best to avoid getting sick.”

Why is it always Texas? Must be something in the water, or maybe it's the fumes from all that cowshit. I seem to recall the inimitable Congressman Louie Gohmert use to be a judge in Texas. Hell, even Reptiles were pretending to be in favor of some provisions of the ACA during the midterms. So, I expect, this idiotic ruling could turn out to be a good thing, because either the Supreme Court is going to overrule this nincompoop, or if it rules against, it is just going to increase the pressure for Medicare for all.

That's what we're all hoping - it will force even corporate-loving Demoocrats to vote for Medicare for All.

The ACA was declared unconstitutional due to changes/amendments made by Republicans....

The ruling is not yet the law of the land. It must withstand the appellate proces which will end in the Supreme Court...

Enforcement of the ruling will be held in abeyance until a final ruling Is issued....

The Republic of Texas came into the union In 1845 with a minority white population.

American Indians, Mexicans, and African-American slaves held a numerical majority until the influx of whites pushed the Indians and Mexicans out of the territory and slavery became limited by the Missouri Compromise in 1852....

None of this is made obvious or clear in standard public school history texts.

The fact is, Texas practiced repressive and oppressive  apartheid before the 1867 discovery of diamond deposits in South Africa....

And, in many respects, does so to this day....

I agree - I would never set foot in the place.

When I was a kid, we lived, briefly, in Dallas, on the poor side of town, and I can attest that there was a heavy minority population in that city, even way back then. I can also attest that schools there, and in Arizona (where we also lived briefly) were three years behind those in Michigan.

Texas politicians follow Tom's Rule of Thumb: It's a lot easier to keep people under your thumb, if you keep them ignorant and poor.
