Confirmed. No indictment.
I can't wrap my head around this one.
I can't figure out how in Hell a group of anyone not wearing tall pointy white hats could fail to indict here.
I don't even have a devil's advocate to play.
The guy wasn't accused of a violent crime. He didn't attack anyone, he just refused to be cuffed, jerking his hands away when they grabbed at him and saying "Don't touch me!"
So they wrestle him to the ground, a cop puts him into an illegal choke hold (Why in Hell does anyone think it's illegal?????), he begs for breath, and they kill him.
And nothing? They all walk?
What am I missing here?
How are they going to spin this one? Was the guy mean to his dog the previous Tuesday, making him a "Thug?"
I can't get to another side from here. I don't see a case. I don't see the beginnings of a case. I don't see the outline of a case.
This is carte blanche. What did Eric Garner do to deserve this? Why was anyone given carte blanche to kill him? This is like a 007 License To Kill. That was supposed to be Fiction!! and, even in fiction, it was used on people who were real threats.
What the Hell is going on here?
If I thought turning over a car would do any good, I'd go out and find one.
Do we think there's even a vague chance that the Fox guys are either going to shut up about this one or finally say "OK, we don't get this one, I can't come up with an alternative explanation"?
I'm not holding my breath. So to speak.
