A couple of days ago, Tom Magliozzi died. He was one of my favorite radio personalities. I often listened to him on Saturday mornings on NPR broadcasting from Harvard Square with his younger brother Ray, doing a show called Cartalk. They were Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers.

There are assorted obituaries out there. What I will probably remember most is something they read at the end of the show, the famous Car Talk Credits, consisting of a partial list of their staff. You'd hear stuff like "statistician: Marge Inovera." (If you don't get it, say it to yourself.)

A few years ago, I went in search of the credits list. There were a few stable ones and a bunch that changed each week. I found it - there is indeed a master list. I happen to enjoy puns, and this is without a doubt the finest collection of puns I know about. Anywhere.

It's one Hell of a legacy.

They are great. So sad to hear he died - I didn't listen often any more and had no idea they've been playing re-runs for a couple of years. The never got old.

And totally agree - the credits were the best!
