I've been away for awhile. I spent five days in the hospital and I am now having home care visits. Just haven't had any energy and haven't been able to get comfortable! I hope to get back on track soon.
Best of the season to all!
Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's off to work we go.
You're sure it's the ring they're kissing?
I hope you recover and feel whole soon!
Thanks nerd cred. Kissing the ring is some heavy symbolism!
He didn't say Empty The Swamp. His crowds said Empty The Swamp. One of the reasons they voted for him is that they saw him as too rich to bother being for sale, that he would be immune from all that lobbying money.
There are a couple of problems with their assessment. One is that the lobbying money wasn't necessary because he already agreed with the lobbyists on a whole lot. In other words, money is irrelevant there because they get what they want for free. Another is that he is still seriously driven by money, which is why he doesn't care about the conflict of interest problem with his companies.
It's the swamp stuff his voters should notice. Most won't care about guys like Bannon because they think all these minorities who have been lecturing them on their behavior have it coming.
The more rules he breaks, the more they love him, because they demonize the source of the rules. They're so busy demonizing that it hasn't occurred to them that a lot of the rules protect them. That they demonize the source of the rules is in part about the Democrats, who played into that. They think that bigotry is directed toward them and, when it comes to the Left, they happen to be correct. Liberals will make comments about rednecks they wouldn't dream of making about anyone else.
Keep in mind that as far as they're concerned, he's already delivered on Carrier and he isn't even President yet.
The problem with the guys looking for jobs is that a lot of the Republican establishment badmouthed him for very good reasons and now they're ignoring them. This business conflict of interest thing should utterly disqualify him, but they're doing what Republicans do: They're swallowing their ethics for power.
The demographic that made the difference.is white middle and working class women.
Racism and bigotry apparently are more powerful motivators than any negatives against sexism and a sexual predator.
Would someone please explain to me how any self respecting white woman could draw the voting both curtain and in that uniquely private moment vote for Donald Trump.
@Buddha; "I'm as baffled as the next. are there more of them than us?"
The answer to your question is, sadly, yes!
Always has been. Always will be.
