For my friend Dani whose Mom died last night, far, far too young.
Moral of the story? There is beauty even in the midst of gray.
Thank you guys ~
Dani lives in Brazil, we met this summer and became friends quickly while she was here in Oregon. One thing I found very interesting that I've never heard before, is how many friends and family of Dani's said "Congratulations!" or "It's her day!" about her Mom's death.
Which I thought sounded much more fun and celebratory than "gone to be with the Lord" or "she's with Jesus now" which so many religious say in our country...
Liberal church goers my mother knew tended not to mention the Lord or Jesus at all - the amount of times I heard "The world will never be the same" and "We'll all just have to get used to life without her".....
I think my mom would have loved even just one: "Congratulations!" She loved attention and parties.
I would prefer none of the above.
Just play some music.
This shot was taken at the same beach as the first photo a day, although since the time traveller wasn't nearby, the colors were all current day. I loved how the water had just receded and the shore looked like glass...
Thanks for coming by ~
