Puzzled

Can’t.

Stop.

What is it with jigsaw puzzles this year at our house? It’s the Third Day of Christmas, this is the third giant puzzle, people are staying up half the night each night obsessed with the hunt, eyes glazed, unnaturally competitive elbows sharpened….

dangerous around here.

The puzzle table is in a weird spot this year - and there was another side table next to it for all the loose pieces but then they all seemed to be moved into the puzzle, anyway.... no one seemed to want the room. I have a feeling it's for easy snagging of puzzle pieces out from under another's view.

Things getting back to normal, this last puzzle is a tough one, cut to fool the eye, plus all the different candy coating sheens..... hasn't bested me yet, though  ; )

The first puzzle was of a Joan Miro painting. That one was fun.

Sharpened elbows. :)

Phyllis  : )

I could use some of those skills.

The sons left for the city yesterday, so quiet here you could hear a pin drop, again. Food's all gone. I stayed up until midnight again last night working on this puzzle. It really brings out the compulsiveness in a human, those puzzles. I've never seen one like this one, purposefully cut to hide obvious patterns.... it's taken over my evenings post-work this week, and replaced making and eating dinner last night!!

'Food schmood, I must find this one piece' kind of week, I guess. How rare : )

Well, the photo a day drizzles into inertia at the end of the month/year....

(...just crickets around here.....)

Good luck with that - have a happy healthy new year!  See you on the other side!

Thanks Phyllis and Marilyn! Happy New Year to you both!

Puzzle complete, thank gawd, that one was a challenge. Fun to have grown sons sticking around to help. Made me wonder if any studies on compulsiveness and jigsaw puzzles exist ; )

2018. Made a fabulous beginning when David Crosby liked my tweet. The. David. Crosby. (ha! A little mild fangirling it today.)

Life is good.
