"Clear, Unequivocal Reassurance" We Made The Right Choice...

Couple of things afore we get started...

  • Caitlin Johnstone is one of my all-time favorite bloggers.  She totally rocks, IMO.  If you don't regularly read her, you should.
  • I'm sure "some" of you think I should quit riding Hillary...  to that I say, "TOUGH SHIT!".  I will get off her back the second she shuts the fuck up and goes far, far away.  As long as she insists on inserting her "poor, poor, me"s into the news cycle (not to mention that totally ludicrous, "I'm leading the "Resistance" bullshit), I'm going to keep pointing out what an utter, elitist, self-serving bitch she really is...

Now for Caitlin!

Hillary Clinton Continues To Assure America That It Made The Right Choice

I don’t understand why everyone’s so hard on Hillary Clinton, personally. This great woman has accomplished so much, from being married to Bill Clinton to collapsing the nation of Libya, and here she is creating space in her busy schedule of drinking champagne, assaulting her house servants and masturbating to classified footage of Saudi war crimes to reassure her country that it made the right choice in November. All out of the goodness of her own heart.

Here is an actual, real-life, nonfiction excerpt from the transcript of Clinton’sinterview at the 2017 Code Conference yesterday, which I swear I am not making up:

“And there have been some studies done since the election that if you look — let’s pick Facebook. If you look at Facebook, the vast majority of the news items posted were fake. They were connected to, as we now know, the 1,000 Russian agents who were involved in delivering those messages.”

In addition to whatever that was, Clinton also repeated the now fully debunked lie she’s been spreading since October that “seventeen agencies” in the US intelligence community had agreed Russia was to blame for the WikiLeaks releases in the last election cycle, argued that Russia couldn’t have known how to run a propaganda campaign in the United States without insider information from the Trump camp, and blamed her loss on James Comey, treason, misogyny, “weaponized information”, Russia and Wikileaks (which she continues to assert are the “same thing”), fake news, the alternative media, the mainstream media, the right-wing media, social media, the New York Times (yes, that New York Times), the DNC (yes, thatDNC), the Supreme Court ruling on the Voting Rights Act, unreasonably high expectations that she would win, the Mercers, and bots.

“I take responsibility for every decision I made, but that’s not why I lost,” Clinton said.

And there you have it: clear, unequivocal reassurance that the American people did the right thing by refusing to hand that woman the keys to the most powerful military force in the history of civilization. Obviously someone who can’t even take personal responsibility for a poorly-run political campaign would never accept personal responsibility for the lives lost due to any use of the unfathomable killing power she’d have been granted as Commander-in-Chief of the United States.

Can you imagine that total lack of accountability dancing with the power to invade sovereign nations, topple governments, and deploy nuclear weapons?
“Madame President, what happened to the Philippines???”
“Breitbart and Infowars are using weaponized information.”
“But you just carpet-bombed Manila!”
“Umm… Putin?”

This is the same woman who laughed at Gaddafi’s horrific death after the rape of Libya she herself spearheaded, mind you. The woman who wanted to install a no-fly zone in Syria despite top generals warning that this could lead to war with both Syria and Russia. The woman throughout her entire political career has been pushing for disastrous war blunder after disastrous war blunder seemingly at every opportunity, who both loves war and sucks at it. This woman, who continues to demonstrate a complete lack of any personal responsibility for any of her actions, asked the American people to trust her to use the incomparable military power of a US President responsibly.

And that’s on top of, you know, the lying. I know we’ve all been very polite until now about Hillary’s propensity for making stats up on the fly but really, Hills, seventeen intelligence agencies you say? Russia is the “same thing” as WikiLeaks? Well, I’ll be.

Someone who lies, who can’t take responsibility, who blames “fake news” for everything she doesn’t like, who makes hilariously conspiratorial-sounding statements like the “Russian WikiLeaks” nonsense she pulled out of her hoo-ha — does that not sound like another certain 2016 presidential candidate? Hillary would have been Trump with a vagina but without all the eyes on her. Trump but with a complicit media who happily make the case for her alternative facts being true. Trump but with a lust for blood and war.

Americans were given a horrible choice between two historically awful candidates, and they chose the lesser of two evils. We were told that if Trump was elected America would be either a smouldering crater or a goose-stepping fascist dystopia where Muslims are kept in concentration camps by now, and yet seven months later the US is still pretty much the same everyday corporatist bullshit factory Obama left it. We’re all still praying for a miracle to save us from the ecocidal, omnicidal trajectory America’s unelected power establishment has had our planet on, but at least we’re still in the fight. That is likely a lot more than you‘d have been able to say for a war-loving, Russia-hating strategical imbecile with no sense of responsibility for her own behavior.

The mass media machine is trying to force Americans to swallow the belief that they made the wrong choice in November, and that next time they’d better be more obedient and listen to the talking heads on TV. These people are lying, and they are wrong. There is no longer any valid reason to continue settling for this planet-killing oligarchic trajectory any longer. Keeping Hillary out of the White House was a good first step, but it was only a first step, the first of many necessary steps we’ll need to take to turn this thing around and prevent environmental catastrophe or nuclear war.

...and, yeah, I know...  she's just being "mean" too!  ::roll eyes::

Why must you naive idealists keep flogging the lesser of two weevils like this?  Hillary wasn't the only one who laughed when Gaddhafi was killed, and why have servants if you can't assault them every now and then?  Don't you want the Dems to win big in 2018? Don't you care about Chelsea?  If it wasn't for HRC, Ivanka and Jared wouldn't even have jobs right now you crazed third party skank!

The Right Choice.

I get that you hate Hillary. Not that I think she's worth too much ink because the election is over and she isn't likely to be relevant enough to run in four years, but OK. What I don't get is how anyone draws conclusions about comparing her to Trump without actually comparing her to Trump. We're talking about Hillary's lack of personal responsibility with Trump in the White House? When it comes to avoidance of personal responsibility, have you noticed who's President? Just for the Hell of it, how do you think she'd be worse? Not how do you think she'd be bad, how do you think she'd be worse? And would the areas where she's worse outweigh the areas she'd obviously be better, such as the Paris Accords and anything else environmental, health care, gay rights, the Supreme Court nomination, relations with Europe and other allies, keeping private business interests out of the White House, immigration, education, and how severely a tax plan favors the wealthy?

Your author talks about the right choice without discussing the actual choice at all. "is bad, therefore is worse than b" doesn't work as a logical statement.

"a is bad, therefore a is worse than b" doesn't work as a logical statement"

Kosh, I don't believe that this post is a comparative narrative or analysis.

Trump is out to dismantle the social safety netand he and Jeff Sessions have effectiveky declared war on Civil Rights, Social Justice, and Constitution of the United States.

Hillary couldn't be that bad in a nightmare, while Trump IS a nightmare.

It's an anti Hillary rant that hints at the notion that anything or anyone is better than Hillary.

Amy, what happens when your current political heart throb,  Tulsi Gabbard, begins to cut deals and reach compromises with the Clintons, the Obamas, Bernie, Jill, Elizabeth Warren, The DNC, the Media and anyone else who might enhance her chances for a shot at the Democratic Presidential nomination in 2018?

Prime time, high-stakes politics is a dirty, often nasty, business.

Ideoligical purity rarely, if ever, wins elections. Failure to understand that singular salient fact will result in failure on election day.

By the way, Amy, I have asked you this repeatedly and I have yet to receive as much as an acknowledgement of the inquiry:

What has HRC done to you personally to merit such abiding hatred and vitriol?

Comment by koshersalaami on June 2, 2017 at 7:22am

Ron,

Of course it's not a comparative narrative. That's my problem with it, given that the title says it's about a choice, which inherently entails a comparison.

I think you've asked a better question of Amy than this one. I can partially answer this one for Amy, I think, due oddly to long experience with Markinjapan. Most people here aren't all that concerned about American military activities overseas in terms of things like drone strikes, whether or not we should be. Amy is extremely concerned with that area of American policy. A lot of us think some of this stuff comes with the territory of being President, a necessary part of keeping a nation safe. Amy thinks of it as murder. When someone is literally defined as a murderer, tolerance of them is regarded as fundamentally immoral. You will notice that Amy focuses heavily on Hillary's involvement as Secretary of State, even though most of those decisions were in the hands of the President. When she talks about Hillary's Senate service, her main concern is the Iraq vote.

Note to Amy: I am explaining your perspective, not condemning it.

Also understand what she thinks is important about public service. Her definition of an ideal public servant is one who takes the right stand on every issue. That is her definition of Principled. She does not like political operators whether or not they're effective or even whether or not they help people. Hillary is the consummate political operator.

I think the better question you recently asked her was:

"Can you identify an individual, past or present, that is YOUR idea of the ideal or perfect person to conduct foreign affairs or execute foreign policy?"

A lot of words for a woman who is a complete creature with two faces.

Comment by Ron Powell on June 2, 2017 at 9:03am

@Kosh; I got nether a reply or an acknowledgement of that or the question that I've asked more than a few times.

Note:  I mentioned Tulsi Gabbard as a Presidential aspirant in 2018...

The run for the White House will commence with intensity following the mid-term elections in 2018.

Serious candidates will have more than their hats in the ring by the end of that year.

KS & RP...  do you seriously expect answers to such loaded questions full of more Logical Fallacies then the number of Trump and Hillary lies combined???

BTW, when did you two stop beating your wives???

Comment by koshersalaami on June 2, 2017 at 9:55am

Loaded how?

"Can you identify...?" The answer might be No.

Follow up question: Who do you think would be Passable at it?

It's a reasonable question. Clearly you think someone would be better than those you criticize. So who?

As to the answer of why you hate Hillary, as in is there a reason we don't know about, given how much you clearly hate her it would help to know what sets that off. Maybe I got the answer right in my previous comment. Or wrong.

Just not stuff that Trump is at least as bad about, because that would make no comparative sense.

It's amazing how often Amy and I agree on certain things.

It's always better to be "led" by incompetent evil, when the alternative is absolute efficient organized Evil.

This pretty much says t all:

"Someone who lies, who can’t take responsibility, who blames “fake news” for everything she doesn’t like, who makes hilariously conspiratorial-sounding statements like the “Russian WikiLeaks” nonsense she pulled out of her hoo-ha — does that not sound like another certain 2016 presidential candidate? Don’t listen to them. The plutocrats who own the politicians and the media are not your friend. Refuse to be sucked back into the lie machine and keep shoving the world toward the light. We can have our miracle.”

Caitlin Johnstone

Trump is a disaster.

But he will be opposed, and he will force a decentralization of federal government power,

States will re assert the tenth amendment. California and New York will ignore immigration laws. Texas and Montana will ignore firearms law. People will vote with their feet and move to the states that reflect their own lifestyle.

New Leaders will emerge.

The United States will remain a federation of sovereign states, rather than being absorbed by a globalized conglomerate of rule by borderless multinational corporations. (the Clinton Foundation?, Soros? Koch?)

Hillary would have slipped into her coronation unopposed by the media or the bureaucrats. Her Evil would have been proclaimed as the new “Good”

With the Donald, we know what we're fighting against.
