Christmas Time

Baby Christmas time is near
Should be joyous without any fear
But you told me to move on a long time ago
Just one more Christmas without Mistletoe,

There are silver bells that I can't hear
Only an empty house without you near
Yes it's Christmas Baby just one more year
We should have been happy but for the tears,

Children are laughing and they're singing
But there are no sleigh bells ringing
No joy will the season be bringing
Only this cold that's stinging,

We should be thankful we should be glad
But for Christmas memories we could have had
Now only this house so empty and cold
Another holiday no one to have and hold,

Baby Christmas time is near
Should be joyous without any fear
But you told me to move on a long time ago
Just one more Christmas without Mistletoe.

Is there music to this?

You just described Winter Solstice before the Christians stole it.

Solstice is not really steal-able... it's still here  : )

I came back to re-read and add it is really tough when Christmas, or any time special, is missing important ones. Everything's magnified....

Thanks for posting this ~

Happy Saturnalia ... hope you find someone to share it with.

Kosher there's music to it, but being the incomplete talent that I am. I don't know how to write music. And I'm a drummer but don't read music. And I'm a lover with no woman. What do you do when you're someone like me! Pass out the cyanide capsules. Worked for Goering!

Maui, I won't have  anyone to share Christmas with it seems the 4 kids I raised by myself would rather gather around the mother who deserted them but hey that's human nature to want the one who left! Just like those dedicated parents that raise an adopted kid and what do they get for it-when the kid figures it out that they were adopted the ingrate tries to find where the parent is that dumped them off somewhere! Human nature-it is dedicated to self destruction-kind of like what The Terminator said in the second movie. That was a cool movie too!

Anna Herrington, This poem is basically the lyrics to a blues rendition of a sad holiday tune that I can't write the music too only the words. It's just the way my life is at this point in time. Hope you will enjoy your Christmas.

Safe bet's Amy Do I have to spell it out for you! I'm a time traveler and I went back in time and whispered in Jesus's ear to convert the Winter solstice into Christmas! You know he glanced at me and said, "Get thee away from me before I make you into Judas!" Well, I took off after that!
