My mind is restless
and my heart cannot
satisfy its longing
I tell myself I don’t care
that it’s easier that way
yet I know I’m lying
for I care deeply
hence my restlessness
and yet I don’t know how to sooth
my soul

take a few moments a day and really DON'T care.

it clears a space in yr brain where you can access that nihilism in yr savage reptilian brain.

Self-division; mind vs. heart: pretty much the blue plate special on the existential menu of life.

People who care deeply are so easily hurt by the brutal nature of survival of the fittest.  Be well and know that the tide will turn...go to the sea.

the fittest know that real comfort first must be found

in the jungle of the boredom of the self where we see not the forest for the trees.

That profound restlessness may be what leads some of us to expression as artists. If we don't care, we have nothing to say. Of course, being overwhelmed can have the same result. There is hope in the act of making art (or poetry).
