Candidate Who Pointed Gun At Teen in Campaign Ad Advances to Runoff

Candidate Who Pointed Gun At Teen in Campaign Ad Advances to Runoff:  A Republican candidate who drew attention for airing an ad where he pointed a gun at a teenager in a campaign ad has advanced to a runoff in Georgia’s GOP gubernatorial primary.

Only in the Trump’s America can a candidate point a gun at a teen shortly after the nation just experienced yet another mass school shooting and still win the Republican primary.  I’m sensing this guy is gonna be a shoe-in for this year’s winner of the annual “Dick Chaney Gun Safety Award."

Come on!  About the only thing missing in this ad is the banjo music from the movie “Deliverance.”  That said, I have to admit that today’s Republican Party is full of people who truly love about the Second Amendment.  Of course the rest of the Constitution - not so much - but they do seem to love that Second Amendment.

yeah but bullets are wasting assets! "...gonna rock on to--Electric Avenue..."

Debating the 2nd Amendment is a non-sequitur.  One of the horrific eerie instances during the 2016 POTUS election was the 'Milwaukee riot' which regrettably evidenced a swat-team/fire rescue first response to a burning gasoline station which had been reported under armed robbery siege. Hostages and the whole prime-time like long night.

Drone videos of an inferno.

Next morning locating my Milwaukee Journal Sentinel I was dismayed to see that the headline was all but obscured with a half-page flyer re: a gun seller's ads. It's probably about false needs, fear itself and a false corollary flashback to the so-labelled 'King' riots of 1968.  O and fortuitous timing of high speed lithography, the bundling of free speech, distribution and, you know: bad news on the doorstep.

Now where'd I hide that well-weathered red bandana and my blues harp?

No one ever details where how and when or from whom Sirhan Sirhan got his .22 pistol.

Good points JP.

When I was younger, the people who would have been most incensed by this would have been NRA members. “What the Hell is this Damned Fool doing pointing a firearm at someone? Did his father never teach him anything about firearm safety? There are courses we teach about this. This idiot should take one.”

Johnny R:

TGIF and "...lost jigger of salt..." here in the FDR Rustbelt, bro.

Curious if you hear from L.A. Woman Fernsy &/or Robin 'Seattle' Sneed?? This is more 'fun' than shouldering a piano upstairs in a bungalow. O! A tangerine VW convertible just popped its clutch down the way! The backseat's laden with day-glow short boards!
& more tropical-topical-apropos:

just can't get over Sandy Hook,
& the children that THEY took

(Roberta wept so when moms spoke of her little girl's Christmas outfit . . .)

I'm holding 4 tickets 4 Jackson Browne at the Rideside 16 June 2018, Johnny, if you wish. Maybe bring along your concertina? Strawberries? Leah thinks it would be swank if I take the 'medal of honor ribbon blue' Corvair convertible out the barn and chauffer your arses 'round the Brewing Capital of the world. You know what they say about heaven . . .

Thanks JP - but Riverside's a long way.  Is that where you live?

~there's a sparrow on my window sill~

I'm certain we'll cross paths one of these days, Johnny Robish. Math has it we're something (how far off??) 2089 miles away, you know, Midwest to Malibu. Right now, the HOP street cars are gearin' up and O yeah I worked across the street from the Riverside for 40 years, from time to time comets would come out of the sky and just stand there. Google search (GS) has Wiggins, CO as our midway (halfway there by morning) dart throw point. Nowadays I'm south of Water & Wisconsin, toward Lake Geneva, trying to get a fish on the line, whilst a young gal on her pier with Rosie-the-Riveter biceps in her paisley OMG French bikini is tethering up some-kinda bait bucket.

Blue waves! Lollipops! I'm yelling, waving, chugga luggin a Special Export.  Maybe she's available for the show.

On a happier albeit underground note.
Student reports she's in Elko 'on tour' with St. Regina and the White Buffalos ... what'a pic: suede floppy hat, white-rimmed-wraparound opaque 'Orbison' shades, hands on knees that full smile leaning over band's washtub with her mahogany mandolin~where's the tambourine I replied including a blue butterfly mo-city-con meant to type emoticon . . .
