I have written that the passive notion of having an advantage is distingishable from the active notion of taking advantage.
A significant element of white privilege is denial of the existence of the advantage of being white, and, conversely, the disadvantage of being black.
White privilege often consists of the denial of having an advantage, while simultaneously taking advantage of that which purportedly doesn't exist....
The article cited here lends further credence to the idea that America, by definition, has been the white man's head start, affirmative action, and entitlement program from day one.
