"Beautiful Storm" Poem of love lost on Father's Day

Beautiful Storm

A beautiful storm in the sky
Rages from inside my eyes
A beautiful storm in the sky
Your love passed me by,

A man needs the love of a woman he trusts
Before the world that he knows turns to rust,

A beautiful storm in your mind
Is what I would always find
A beautiful storm that was one of a kind
All I ever needed was for you to be kind,

A beautiful storm in the Pacific waters
Remember when we watched a pair of otters?
That beautiful storm in your mind
Destroying what love you could ever find,

A man needs the love of a woman he trusts
Before the world that he knows turns to rust,

Your love passed me by
Like a beautiful storm in the sky
Raging like the tears within my eyes
Still my silly mind continues to ask why,

Love isn't for those who can survive
Beautiful words that can never revive
The love that rains from a beautiful storm
I'll never know the shining light of the norm,

A man needs the love of a woman he trusts
Before the world that he knows turns to rust,

Your love was always between anger and lust
Like the sweetness of a pie with burnt crust
Like the goodness that's within us about to bust
That madness within you like a stormy wind gust,

A beautiful storm in the sky
Rages from inside my eyes
A beautiful storm in the sky
Your love passed me by.

Gosh, Doc -- This really touched me, kinda felt the same way all day, and I LOVE those paintings of tempest-tossed ships.  It makes you wonder why your own troubles seem so shattering, when some are faced with that!  Still, heartfelt, a sigh too, so thanks for sharing.
