Bare Soles

Exposure can be very liberating I’m told.

However, exposed seldom seems the best state of being.

Going bare leaves one vulnerable.

I got up this morning, barefoot, walked into the kitchen and the cold coming through the tiles on the floor reminded me that, whether souls or soles, we need a little protection.

That’s why confessions need a booth and feet need shoes.

couldn't walk barefoot till my 40's cause of 'planter's warts' when for no reason they went for my other 'soul''s on it's own, what happens,happens....

Steel Breeze, warts are viral. Cutting them out, putting medicine on them and standing in a barn in a full moon letting your ring spin slowly through dust motes outlined by a moonbeam coming through a nail hole while chanting "wart be gone" seem to work equally well.

Que sera, sera has been my approach, too.  The one who counts supposedly already knows who you are and what you've done.  It's the confessor you have to worry about.

I thought once about becoming a psychologist/counselor, but I knew I could never bear the burden of all those people's pain and suffering. I can well imagine it's the same for a priest or a preacher. I am very grateful there are people capable of bearing other people's burdens.
