Ago from a time
a known feeling
the breath caught
by sweated
evil hand
big screen said she'd gone to
see how democracy worked.
She met the eye of tyranny
and fell there
That noise
took sacredness
fallen there alone,
the supermarket
glass sways,
by cruel wind,
the carnage
for its asking
its telling:
the child bled
And the selling of soap,
police ribbons
of 10,000 wars
your immediate rise
your shock
its petals
to cruel
to hold
the child's
Never, enough
to calm
the promised

On January 8, 2011, U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords and eighteen others were shot during a constituent meeting held in a supermarket parking lot in Casas Adobes, Arizona, in the Tucson metropolitan area. Six people died, including federal District Court Chief Judge John Roll; Gabe Zimmerman, one of Giffords' staffers; and a nine-year-old girl, Christina-Taylor Green.[7][8][9][10][11] Giffords was holding the meeting, called "Congress on Your Corner", in the parking lot of a Safeway store when Jared Lee Loughner drew a pistol and shot her in the head before proceeding to fire on other people.[8][9] One additional person was injured in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.[12] News reports identified the target of the attack to be Giffords, a Democrat representing Arizona's 8th congressional district.[8] She was shot through the head at point-blank range, and her medical condition was initially described as "critical".[8][9]...

I'd been bedside with VGF (wounded) and our beautiful Congolese Nurse RN when the KGUN-Tucson TV breaking news crawl-line alerted us to the tragedy.

Christina-Taylor Green would have been old enough to vote this year.

Christina, Gabby,

We'll be free, won't we?

Gabriele Giffords was shot by a mentally deranged asshole not a Tea Party member not a conservative or Christian simply an asshole while the Democrats tried to make to case to disarm the American public when they couldn't use the incident against the Tea Party. What's your point?

The Lord Is My Shepherd
(psalm 23 - King James Version)

(1) The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
(2) He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
(3) He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
(4) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
(5) Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
(6) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
