Another Theory on Why Nikki Haley Resigned

More on the question of why Nikki Haley has resigned her UN post: In light of the fact that Trump wouldn't demand the resignation of a cabinet member for mere financial indiscretions and wrong doing, I like my theory better.

This is why "my" theory hangs together.

She and Saudi Arabia's Golden Boy John Bolton bumped heads over Saudi Arabia's human rights abuses and he threatened to disclose her financial indiscretions.

She clearly thinks she's "all that" and refused to buckle under to him.

Bolton is nothing if not a vindictive political game player and "poof" her "wrong doings" are all over the news.

She resigned so that the investigation would die and be buried.

Just another case of someone who sleeps with pigs getting smeared with pig shit or "Just another day in the Trump pigsty."

Your grasp of the matter is a bit tighter than mine. However,  as I said before, we're on the same page.

@Ron and Amy, I think we are all on the same page.  Haley has been accused of accepting plane rides from private individuals, an ethics violation unless that ride was from a personal friend.  Nikki claims the rides have been from friends.

I don't think she was asked to leave, and especially not for this because Trump has supported people guilty of overt corruption.

I think she is evaluating a run in 2020 and wants to distance herself from Trump, and as you say, Amy, have time to clean the pig shit off.

Even considering Haley as UN Ambassador in the first place was a global embarrassment. She is a total lightweight compared to what is typically considered de riguer for the job, along with being a totally corrupt self hating ass kisser. What is much worse is that she was, despite being in so far over her head in the position that it is utterly ridicules, one of the Confederate Yankee's best team members. A living barometer of how far AmeriKKKa has fallen.

@maui surfer ~ she does seem to have survival sense, though.  She's the one who decided it was time to take the Confederate Battle Flag down over the South Carolina state house.  Politicians at their worst are ass kissing back stabbers.  At their best they are ass kissing back stabbers.  Nikki Haley is a politician.

As Randy Newman sang of Lester Maddux; "He may be a fool, but he's our fool, and if you think you're better than him you're wrong."  It depends on whose ass they are kissing.  Perspective is everything.

BTW, when Nikki Haley was reported to be an Indian I thought Native American.  When I went on line to find out which tribe I found out it was Bobby Jindal's tribe.

I concede her survival skills, those would have to be intact simply to be South Asian and in her position(s) and location(s).

Randy Newman also sang of doing cocaine with 16 year old girls, so, he may have more in common with Roy Moore than Lester Maddox, but, let us not forget Maddox actually RAN one of the segregated lunch counters where my friends the Freedom Riders and NAACP did their sit-ins.

If we are going to do comparisons, and if you ask me, Trump wishes he was a rich Huey Long, but he's not. And he won't have the same end, though it might be more interesting. A fucking Confederate Yankee, who would have guessed? Carpetbaggers and Scalawags my ass ...

Since Randy Newman has been mentioned, I'm compelled to remind one and all of the lyrics of his bitterly sardonic masterpiece "Sail Away":

In America you'll get food to eat
Won't have to run through the jungle
And scuff up your feet
You'll just sing about Jesus and drink wine all day
It's great to be an American
Ain't no lions or tigers ain't no mamba snake
Just the sweet watermelon and the buckwheat cake
Everybody is as happy as a man can be
Climb aboard little wog sail away with me
Sail away sail away
We will cross the mighty ocean into Charleston Bay
Sail away-sail away
We will cross the mighty ocean into Charleston Bay
In America every man is free
To take care of his home and his family
You'll be as happy as a monkey in a monkey tree
You're all gonna be an American
Sail away sail away
We will cross the mighty ocean into Charleston Bay
Sail away-sail away
We will cross the mighty ocean into Charleston Bay
It's a safe bet, Lester Maddox, et al, wouldn't recognize this as ironic. To the contrary, those of that ilk continue to make the absurd argument that slaves on the plantation had it much better than they did back in Africa.

@Tom Cordle ~ "slaves on the plantation had it much better than they did back in Africa."  They make that absurd claim about slaves having it better than blacks do in America today.

If that were true, indentured servants would have signed up for another hitch instead of jumping at the chance for freedom.

Every song on that Randy Newman album was choice.  In Louisiana, 1927 the lie was pointed out that the flood of Plaquemine Parish was an act of nature rather than a deliberate act to spare New Orleans from being flooded.

"President Cleveland came down in a railroad train

with a little fat man with a notepad in his hand.

President say, "Little Fat Man isn't it a shame

what the river has done to this poor cracker's land."

@Rodney Yup, I wore that album out.
