You see something for the first time and the familiarity haunts you. Faded brick, worn boards and overgrown bush revealing rusted magic call to you. A memory begins; a photograph becomes but a marker in time.

Walk with me…

Love the shot of the old barn. Wish I had one just like it.

David ... in my neck of the woods, the old barns are still standing, many of them 100-200 years plus. They are a treasure.

There is something about the barns. I don't know what it is. But it means a lot. When I was small, we had "Chew Mail Pouch Tobacco" signs on the barns across the midwest. And that CSN song. . .I love that song.

Great shots . . damn that center one is huge. Stuff built by old masters.

Great pics, my wife and I used to travel the back roads of California taking photos of abandon houses, collapsing redwood barns and such. Don't know what there is about human ruins fading back into the natural world that I find so attractive, but there it is. For some reason the "Like" button isn't working for me today, but consider this post "liked." I'll come back later and look at more of your posts.

JMac

the old and faded architecture really spins my wheels. since I've gotten serious about photography, I find barns, old farms, old houses and rusted cars a favorite subject to shoot. ( and I tried liking your latest post also)

There is a lovely sense of romance here.
