The followers of the Beast "45" definitely believe that their version of the American Dream is dead or dying, but the Dems totally screwed up with Hillary and her campaign subsequently screwed up in Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Michigan.

Listened to that this morning on a Fark link. Wish Hughley was available around here. All I get on AM radio are right-wing, incandescent, race-baiting twerps.

I asked a question during the election, and I'll ask it again now: 330 million people and those two were the best you could come up with?

@Boanerges; "330 million people and those two were the best you could come up with?"

The talent pool is not 330 million. It's the 1% that you've heard tell of. People with sufficient funds to buy their way into rulership positions at everyone else's expense.

Out of those 330 million, how many are disenfranchised? How many of them are getting their news from really bad sources? How many of them know so little about politics and history that they might as well believe in fairy tales when it comes to politics? How many  believe the advertising they see that comes from pockets where a million dollars is 1/25,000 of their net worth, and there are two of them, counting the Kochs alone, before you even get to Sheldon Adelson?

Hughley says a lot of smart things about people who believe they've lost their country.

In the end, i think Hugely's point, along wuth everyone here commenting, us tgat we have much work to do AFTER Trump us out. There will be deeper work to do. And, as all attest here, trying to bring light and reason to a wirld largely dominated by oligarch's and corporatists if one kind or another scripting their messages with the cash to push them.

In such times me thinks the simplier our own message, the better. An umbrella phrase and symbol of social justice and fairness rather than a banner for anyone movement or party.  That is still lacking. Any ideas?
