A Good Idea Gone Horribly Wrong... But Still A Good Idea

So, Trig was giving me grief to post pictures of this place i had recently driven through here in California.  Generally this particular area of my neck of the woods is pretty brown because.. well we do not get lots of rain. In addition there had been a pretty large fire in the area. Anyhoo... it came back lush and beautiful green after some recent rain.

I set out to take pictures and ended up with video.. but not of the area I was talking about & mostly silliness on my part.

BUT its a good idea - to take you all for a ride once a week and show you my world.

Next week? I dunno, but I think maybe the local Art walk event... then maybe the following week we will go get our kicks and travel Route 66...

I'll clean the car windows and perfect my video skills between now & then, I promise. Meanwhile... enjoy the spectacle that is me! (and the California freeway)

We would get along so well, I always drove with my kids and when we hit the green green grass of the Cali foothills I say Oh Pretty about 1000 time! I enjoyed the drive completely!

What a great idea.  Where was the "horribly wrong" part?  BTW... I feel like I know you better after hearing your voice.    Very cool.  I might haave to try it.

Chino Hills... after over twenty years in downtown LA, I moved to the mountain community of Crestline in San Bernardino County.  Working in Ontario and Irvine I had more than my share of California Freeways and drove through Chino Hills on my way to the OC... in fact over the forty years I've lived in California I would be surprised if I haven't driven at least a million miles on So Cal Freeways... now that I moved up north to Novato, I'm missing the sunshine in  So Cal ... but today we had wonderful warm sun after nearly a month of nonstop rain and we drove through the emerald hills and redwoods to eat fresh oysters down near Tomales Bay... most excellent... maybe when I get back from Texas in February, I'll take you guys on a tour of my new neighborhood.  R&L ;-D

trig - if it had been scripted it would have been waaaaay better  lol. that wasnt even the prettiest place. but i couldnt stop right on the highway so it had to do. i think i may take you all to the Citrus museum down the road. its kinna cool. this was silly fun - i imagined you all there with me!

now i know - clean windshield, clean lens, mount camera to something that will absorb some sound, dont laugh at yourself so much.

Hi LL - i have lived here for 4 years now, and not a day goes by that i dont marvel at the pretty. even my ride to the grocery store is beautiful.

Harp - the horribly wrong part was i never really took you guys somewhere pretty.. but i'll get better as i go and you guys can laugh at my stupidity as i learn.

Jenny- nooooooo!  this is my big idea! (kidding) it would be a great open call!  i just like that it gives me an excuse to drive around aimlessly burning fossil fuel!
