A Fall From Grace

To fall from Grace

There's no silk and lace

It's easier than it sounds

Just a shroud of misty towns,

Blindsided by the way it seemed

A deer caught in a headlight beam

On that road that falls from Grace

Only distant memories to chase,

A young man I was

And just as a fool does

I squandered all that I had

Never knowing it could be this bad,

Being alone is a time to reflect

Upon love of the past and neglect

As a young lion I thought I knew

Now there's darkness in a sky of blue

Falling from Grace can take a while

Days upon days without a smile

How would it be had I known

Just before the fall from the thrown,

Before the endless rain stung my eye

Did I really make my angel cry

Has my life really been a lie

Is this all the grief money can buy

To fall from Grace

There's no silk and lace

It's easier than it sounds

Just a shroud of misty towns.

moki ikom Wonder why I hate the ideology of Communism! What the hell does that have to do with my poem. Must you always be on the attack! I'll tell you what I hate about Communism! It has not been effective demonstrated nor implemented the world over in any form or fashion of socioeconomic success or form of fairness to populations enduring the iron fisted tyranny of Communist regimes. According to statistical fact 100 million murders are associated with the imposition of Communism upon the masses of countries like Russia, China, Cambodia, and many others! There is no Democracy in Communism! It is an illusion for the gullible and indoctrinated to entertain their weak minds with! America rose to the top not by sharing poverty but with the virtues of Capitalism! That is the undeniable truth!
