Trump Claims He Knows Technology Better Than Anyone:  After opponents called it an old-fashioned idea, Donald Trump defended construction of a wall along the US-Mexico border in a bizarre series of tweets in which he compared it to "the wheel" and boasted that he “understood technology better than anyone.”

Wow, this guy must be awfully smart then!  I mean, first he’s withdrawing from Syria and Afghanistan because he “knows more than the Generals” - and now, he “understands technology better than anyone?”  Who knew?  Now I don’t know what his definition of “understands” is when it applies to technology, but I’d be willing to bet that this is a guy who’d be at a total loss trying to operate a kitchen toaster.

Now I suppose my question to this highly technical, stable genius and his loyal followers who claim to believe that this wall is the best solution to curb immigration from Mexico is - do you even realize that Mexico has airports just like we do - with direct flights into the United States?  And, not to get technical, but I'm pretty sure that these planes fly much higher than that 100-foot wall you want to spend $75 billion to build.

Now not to be critical, but I think it’s fair to ask why a technical genius of his stature doesn’t even have a clue about how to send the most basic e-mail or why his staunchest supporters still think of his Mar-a-Lago swimming pools as "see-ment ponds?”  Frankly, I believe my cat has a better understanding of technology than he does.  On the other hand, my cat isn’t being blackmailed by Russian Intelligence Services - so there’s that.

Trump claims to have more intelligence in his gut than experts have in their brains. I suggest his decisions don't come from his gut; he's clearly pulling them straight outa his ass.

And it ain't just the airplanes – the US has 12,383 miles of coastline.

Since President Know-Nothing has never studied history, or anything else, he has apparently never heard of the hundreds of walled cities of the ancient world ... or the Great Wall of China ... or the Antonin Wall and Hadrian's Wall in England, but hell, he should at least have heard of the Berlin Wall. And if 2 Corinthians Don had ever read the Bible, he'd at least have heard of Jericho and it's tumbling walls.

Frankly, I don't think this asshat has the brains to operate and electric pencil sharpener, let alone a mechanical one.

Taking a cue from Israel, U.S. wall-mongers should consider first getting a great base on which to build their great wall.  A forty meter deep concrete base should do the trick on which to mount their six meter wall:

"President Donald Trump has said repeatedly he is an admirer of Israel’s controversial wall building program, and the Middle Eastern country is giving him another structure to envy—Israel's army has announced construction details of a new underground wall to run along the country's border with Gaza.

The $800 million barrier will stretch across the country’s 40-mile frontier with the territory, measuring 19 feet high, but also delving 131 feet underground, principally to counter the threat of attack tunnels dug by Hamas, the Islamist militant group that has controlled Gaza since 2007.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) revealed details of the wall, first announced in 2014, on Wednesday. Work is scheduled to begin on the wall in October and it is expected to take two years to complete. According to The Times, Israel has built factories to produce concrete along its border, and construction workers, who will be part of the round-the-clock effort, will reportedly include east African asylum seekers and others from Spain and Moldova.

Related: Israel tried to derail Syria cease-fire at secret meetings...

The wall will be constructed mainly from concrete, reinforced with iron bars and pipes and covered in sensors. It will also extend into the Mediterranean in an attempt to stop Hamas fighters from swimming ashore.

General Eyal Zamir, the Israeli head of the Southern Command said the army was concerned about Hamas trying to stop construction, and another military official told The Times of Israel that they planned to defend the barrier and that it would be "built at any price." ...  -- http://bit.ly/2PYmboc
