"Ron brought parents into the spitting match..."

Let's take a look:

"My condolences to your parents and your teachers."

VS

"I had parents who wanted me."

My condolences re your attitude and behavior here goes to the idea that you choose to behave and think as you do and therefore is something over which you have a modicum or degree of control...

Having parents who wanted you is a matter in which you had no choice and a matter over which you have no control.

Hence, suggesting that my comment is justification for your cruel, insensitive, and vulgar remark is a classic example of false equivalence that is disingenuous and dishonest...

I'm sure that your parents and teachers did what they could to teach you to know better than that...

It's up to you to do better than that...

"If you want to play the dozens with me, don't expect charity."

I repeat: My condolences to your parents and teachers.

And, under the circumstances, why didn’t you see immediately that you had a secondary issue? I wasn’t even part of the damned conversation and I could see that.

"I take it you’ve figured out that the significantly wronged person here is not you but Amy?"

Of course...And she has handled the vulgar unprovoked and unwarranted, insensitive and insulting, manifestation of disrespect about as well as might be expected...

Right. Her first reaction was to spring to your defense. My first reaction was to spring to her defense. Your first reaction was to spring to your defense.

Amy responded to the comment before I could react to it ...

I responded to the "fuck off" remark after Amy had seen and reacted to it some time before I did...

Had Amy not responded in defense of herself, or had I seen the comment prior to Amy having responded, I would have gone after the AKA comment as an inappropriate, unnecessary, insensitive, insulting, vulgarity and completely out of bounds...

As it stood Amy did quite well in defense of herself...

I saw no need for redundancy...
