How nice to see SBA a readin' and a writin' here this week. Now she can check the news, (I hope Kosher is here too, there aren't many of us left; lets face it ...) and see the truth behind her little girl crush on the Hater Samoan Tulsi and how she is a complete cult member totally brainwashed against gays, ruined for life because the indoctrination came so early in her little Keiki days, the so called AmeriKKKan hero just because she went to Iraq. So did my daughter, who knows her better than I, but she doesn't boast about it for self-aggrandization, in fact she is trying desperately hard to forget and deal with the PTSD that comes from mopping up torn to pieces IED victims.

Well, aren't the chickens coming home to roost, as I TRIED TO TELL YOU ALL, while some of you had the nerve to lecture me about Hawaii, now that is a LAUGH, the virulence of her Anti-LBGTQ background is so intense it went way past the raving of her father, now Kosh, you can quickly Google and read for yourself that this half-wit idol worshiper not just hates gays but actually went in for the support of conversion therapy (that's for you SBA, be a lot more damn careful who you hold up high next time! people who would string you from a tree, oh, and I see another Southern hater wants anti-lynching laws to not include LGBTQ people, how very nice of him to spare them hell below when they can have it right here on Earth.)

Anyone interested in the real Tulsi, and she really can't surf too well either, can go back and read my other posts or admittedly long comments ... again, if you knew her family you would crap your pants, these are bad, bad people.

Yeah, Tulsi for president. Oh, she has a real chance, especially now that the easily discovered truth is out. The saddest part, she couldn't even win in American Samoa, because they would never vote for a woman.

Damn, information is so easy to come by, disseminating it to people with the skills to analyze facts from it is quite another story ...

Hi Maui,

I have been put off by Tulsi and I don't have the insider knowledge you possess. So far the more I read of her the less like her.

I am leaning towards my homeboys, Beto and Julian, at the moment but I am keeping and open mind.

Texas has an awful state guv controlled by extremist  right wing Republicans. I want to see that change too.

Brother Dicky,

Great to hear from you, has been too long. I am all for Beto and Julian, these are GOOD MEN. I would love to see a woman on the ticket too though, Warren has me scared to death, despite my respect for her control of Wall Street. Kamala Harris I would love to marry, is totally qualified, but, her Black/Asian background is not going to play well in shitsville. It is because she is a powerful woman with a herstory of justice and a person of color, the scariest possible combination the Haters can come across.

All the "in good faith" and the "meant to malign, in bad-faith" public inquistions of one's character is invited upon one when one announces her or his candidacy for public office, all the moreso when announcing major party candidacy for u.s. presidency... it'd not be a position one would voluntarily put oneself in if one had anything to hide about oneself or one felt he or she could not defend one's reputation... unless of course one is a great confidence artist in making deals and winning undeserved trust.

Tulsi isn't ready for a high stakes, prime time presidential bid, not by a long shot.

However, I honestly don't believe that inciting a dust up on the matter is appropriate or necessary....

I've repeatedly stated that the Dems must choose a charismatic figure who has the chops, the guts, and the narrative needed to displace the shit show called Trump...

Thus far Elizabeth Warren, despite her age, is the only Democrat that is the complete package...We need to be united in our effort to rid ourselves of the nightmare we're living through...

Jumping and dumping on one another here with a bunch of condescending "I told you so" comments is not the road or path that will get us there....

Ron- as stated, I am very worried about Warren's nationwide electablity, I totally support her efforts in Congress and elsewhere, of course on Wall Street and Consumer Protection, just not sure she can win it in a country of proven haters and misogynists.

moki- I thought you'd been claiming to know something about the Islands with all your OHA talk and lecturing me about it while I actually live in the Homesteads. Tulsi the HATER from a family with a long and sordid reputation of PUBLIC HATING is as far from a presidential candidate as one could get. Why not put her on the ticket as VP with Steve King for prez? Then you could pull the Repuke and Dem haters together at least ...

BTW, moki, who is a bigger confidence artist (barring Drumpf) than a cult leader like Tulsi's papa? By definition you have to be one to run a cult, and run a long standing and medium size cult he does while doubling as a former TV Host of an ANTI GAY television series, if you could give it that much credit. Like I said, I thought you knew something about these Islands?

I approached this post with dread, fearful that you'd be offering a full-throated endorsement of Tulsi Gabbard for President, simply because she was a fellow Hawaiian (well, technically a Samoan). How glad I was to see I was wrong. As for Tulsi, her record on abortion and gay-rights is a mixed-bag; but I cut Obama some slack for having evolved, so I guess I have to do the same for Tulsi – unless it comes to light that her change of heart is merely tactical and not moral. As for her chances of winning the Democratic nomination for President in 2020, vaudevillian Eddie Cantor summed it up almost a century ago:

Toot, toot, Tootsie don't cry
Toot, toot, Tootsie, good-bye

"...not sure she can win it in a country of proven haters and misogynists...."

If Warren can't win in a national election, no Democrat, other than Biden, has a real shot...Biden isn't likely to get in the race...

BTW; Michelle Obama has too much sense to bother with it...

Ron, I am just being honest, are you really telling me with our shared experiences I may be off base or paranoid?

T- You weren't around here, and were sorely missed, when I explained Tulsi's life (I've known her since basically birth) ... I could dig through some murk here and find the life story I put together for Kosh, but, Kosh being Kosh, since only her Father ran a television program, the whole purpose of which was to rant on homosexuality for an hour each week on Hawaii local television, well, Kosh being Kosh, he demanded proof that she (I already knew she did, she is a Hare Krishna btw, if you are interested) also was as bad as her father. Well, Google the news today and read it in spades, she is a hater in the full extreme, totally anti gay marriage, and basically anything LBGTQ. The main reason I got worked up about it was all of us have worked so hard for equal and especially gay rights, as in some ways they are they most vulnerable, and the most vocal proponent of Heir Tulsi here on OS was SBA ... that really rattled my guts, that she, who thinks so damn much of herself, could get suckered so easily and completely. She also wrote off a murder Tulsi's cult committed on a friend of our community by implying it must be false since the article was written by someone originally from New Jersey, as if that mattered to the grieving families. There is so much to unpack here it goes beyond ... but since you are a such a great musician you should know one thing, and this is no lie, Jimi Hendrix is involved. If you can't find the posts or comments I will try, or maybe Kosh has them, he is so damn organized though making me look bad in that department is no challenge.

The change was tactical.
