I thought I would share this with whomever is left here of my old Oursalon pals.
Recent health concerns and changes in lifestyle have allowed me to spend lots more time in the art studio, painting. I've done 47 works so far this year. I've been showing pretty regularly, and selling a bit, too. I am hoping this continues and is not merely an anomaly. Doesn't matter, though- I will keep painting regardless.

Both are oils on canvas.

This first one is called The Chetzemoka, Dreaming  (24" x 36")
It is a portrait of an old rowboat, now landlocked at Fort Worden in Port Townsend, WA.
The boat is named for an indigenous leader of the S'Klallam Tribe during the 1850s.
(More historical info here if you are interested)

This next painting is smaller, 18" x 24"   Sunset on Beach Drive

It's a local view. The terrible air quality of this past summer and fall led to some very beautiful atmospheric effects.

Sunset on Beach Drive is very subtle

@Tom, I found the rowboat in the sand very poignant. Your lyrics as well. Where can I hear the whole tune?

Ros, thanks for the kind words – I'll see if I can post it here as a blog

Rosi, hello!  I have been following you!

Just wanting so bad to say, look at this!  It's beautiful, and touching, and so many views of barns and boats and old cars, things that you would love...

*deep sighs*

I would, if I could

if the settings would stay put

Here, there, everywhere

Julie. I appreciate that you came by.
There are a couple more places that some local folks have invited me to come photograph for paintings. I've done 17 barns and 3 trucks so far, and I'm not tired of them yet.

I did manage to make a calendar out of 13 of the barn paintings!

Hi Rosi!

Just hearing of a rare tornado hitting your area yesterday - checking in to see if you and yours are okay!  I hope it skipped you...

...and what lovely paintings you've been creating. Hope these barns, boats and landscapes are still around, too, but you've given them a life and beauty that hopefully will last, regardless. I've been enjoying seeing your posts at instagram....

Take Care ~
