I so enjoy/ed having you post here - saw a painting of you as George Washington, yesterday? but was on the way to the oral surgeon with a husband in tooth agony and didn't have time to comment. I loved it!

I wish you knew how much I appreciate you and your input and posts and paintings here and how disappointing it is to sign on this morning and you are no longer here.

Most others who have moved on haven't bothered me so much, it was time, but you I've always looked forward to your posts. I do respect, though, that clearly, you think it is time, too.

Take care out there in the world. I hope you decide to come back but if not, so be it.

As for me, I'll be back after our week off, dancing at a huge hippie fest that's gone on for over 50 years, off in the mini-forest, under a canopy of trees, a get away we haven't participated in in over two decades.

Getting back to our dancing roots - while all our sons take over the homestead, here.

Best to you and big hugs, dear one.

xoxo  Anna

Okay, looked for some brilliant insightful quote to add and.... nada. but this one seemed most like my thoughts and feelings today, and what seems to be disappearing in the world, everywhere (hence our deciding to head to the hippie fest stuffed with wonderful weird people and music and dance and sculptors and painters and artists and freaks).

Be well ~

“Blessed are the weird people:
poets, misfits, writers
mystics, painters, troubadours
for they teach us to see the world through different eyes.”

Ahoy, Foolish Monkey!

Let me stand with Anna (barefoot) to say hasta pronto, querida Monkey. Thank you for the art and the stories and the style...I’ve stolen all I can carry, just wanted to acknowledge that. I remember starting to check on your spot at OS because of something you wrote to vanessa seijo, it was some comment about words and writing and inky cliffs standing in a slate colored sea, I think.

I learned a lot from you and will notice your absence when I dip back in here.

Thanks, Anna, for the Nordby quote and for the space here and there under the trees with the hippies.

safe road and saludos to the big water, j.p.

Hahahahahahaha, you mean get my grandkids out of my basement(s)? No thanks, we Polynesians love having family around, kind of like Italians!

Sometimes you're entertaining to a point SBA, this time your just digging a hole, with a back-hoe.

Not true. You're pathetic.

AKA’s mentioning that he spoke to FM (or rather that she spoke to him) actually does serve a purpose. Being as (presumably) the rest of us have not heard directly from FM, we now know that her departure was intentional rather than either due to her doing something unknown that got Lorianne to eject her or due to some sort of technical issue that eliminated her account without her intending to leave. This of course would have been a logical assumption to begin with but not a completely sure thing being as she did not discuss her intention to leave in public.

Of course, the assumption is made more logical by the fact that she took down her last posted pictures.

This past week I've been busy getting my nose bobbed, getting PET scanned (good news) and traveling.  I missed whatever happened and have to say that I am really sad to hear "The Monkey" is leaving.  We had some nice conversations.

the way its going, when i click on i can hear Floyd asking....."is anybody OUT THERE?"

Steel Breeze, you are so Pink Floyd.  I could hear that once you mentioned it.

Anna, I've been to the Oregon Country Fair.  We took our granddaughters.  They got their faces painted.  I understand that there were adults at the "paint station" as well.  L tells me that I missed a lot. ;-)

We just got back from the Willamette valley.  Great time with the family.  I didn't mention it while out there because I didn't want anyone to know that the house was empty back home.

I would love to move out there, but it's a big decision with multiple considerations.

Good Morning.

This thread seems to show on a nice concrete basis why Monkey quit bothering.

Thanks to those who offered the fine lady a fond farewell.

Having spent the weekend among the least uptight gathering of humans possible while thinking of gatherings since the ancient times and beyond with humans nestled together under trees playing music and greeting old friends and new with a smile and keeping the tone uplifting, at least enough, with the deeper understanding that that is how people want to bother sticking around and returning again and again, think I'll leave it at that for now.

Monkey: if you decide to show up at instagram or medium I hope you'll look for some of us. We'll be smiling and waving.

Catch, Rodney, steel, j.p., thanks for understanding the tone of this post .... and to everyone, thanks as always for coming by.
