Winter is coming !
Never seen an episode. My wife doesn't think she'd like it, so....
Love the books. The series is too graphic for me as I am a visual thinker.
I never, ever get tired of the opening.
In the past, we would have to wait until months after the season was over, and then we'd "binge-watch" the entire season over a few nights. There are very few series that have opening credit music that's tolerable after the first or second listening. Usually we just turn off the sound and wait for the show proper to begin. (Besides GOT, I love the music for Deadwood.)
We have HBO now so we didn't have to wait or the season to be over.
I thought the season 7 opener was...draggy.
it was a pip, wasn't it!!
I have a dvr and I'll watch it again.
I agree about the opening. I want to restring my gamba just to play that opening section. Though, really, I'm thinking that string melody may be double basses way up the neck, sort of like Lt. Kije Suite by Prokofiev.
Start at 5:25 to see the bass solo
