Die international vampires die!

I created a petition: To the U.S. Senate, House of Reps. and All state legislators.:

"Amend constitution so corp.'s die @ 72 years like people.",  because I care deeply about this very important issue.

I'm trying to collect 100 signatures, and I could really use your…

Hello and Help... Am I a democrat or a republican?

I don’t fit anyone’s political platform. If you can label me, more power to you. I try to write on many things. I often find it hard to convey a complete thought when writing, so it takes me a long time to write things; If you dont understand something I write please ask me to clarify and I will do my…

The road up and the road down is one and the same

My emotions have been running the gamut since my mother passed away on November 11. I can go from feeling perfectly happy to anger and feeling just down-right morose in a matter of seconds. Granted, I have always had the ability to be a little moody, but this – this I don’t seem to have any control over. Emotions seem to come and go in the blink of an eye. I’m aware of the whole grief thing, and I believe I expect way too much of myself sometimes. I’m trying to just allow myself to feel…

enough already of the christmas screeds

Dear Christmas Message Email Sender:

I’m writing with the hope that we can go back to when I loved December and Christmas, when tree lots smelled like fresh-cut pines and friends stopped by with homemade cookies, when the cold outside made it all the more…

"Breasts as exemplary of all that is Love!"

and have not breasts, and though I have the gift of

prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge;

and though…

"Where Spanish Moss Prevails!"

to be read aloud....

A child was born and grew to stand,

in sand-spurred sand, and watched the sails;

of ships from shores of foreign lands-

he grew to wend through tortured trails

his way to those exotic strands,

advising all who might inquire

the origin of this wand'ring male;…

"The epic of Enkidu!"

artist unknown

poem © Fred Hallman 2012

(to be read aloud)

I am Enkidu not Gilgamesh -  a native libertarian I am!

While sampling Shamat's pulchritude,

I nibbled round her baited hook,

then swam away as free fish do.

So 'scaped from Babylon I am,

nay schooled nor drooled on her spavined teat.…

Judging the River (Poem)

By Daniel Rigney

World's finest river? Be the judge.

If  depth is what you want,

the Congo wins hands down --

its deepest point 800 feet beneath the air.

The Congo has its shallows, to be sure.

But where it's deep, no other river can compare.

The narrowest river in the world, Mongolia’s…

Ouch! A Mormon guy really hated my book

Emboldened by David Niose’s brilliant blog, “Wow. This reviewer hates my book,” I decided to share my own rebuttal of a religious conservative’s horrible, terrible, very bad review of my novel, Saints in the Latter Days.

Here it goes …

A Mormon reader recently bashed Saints in the Latter Days as “shocking,” “irreverent,” “grating,” and just plain obnoxious.

I prefer to describe it as funny.

One of his…

The Clubber was late, although he wasn't too concerned. He had an interview with some disgruntled husband who had found out his wife was cheating with his boss, and it was either lose the wife or lose a good job, and it wasn't even close. The wife had to go. Club could care less. He could kill the wife, the boss or all three of them, as long as he got paid. After thinking about it, he thought he  better leave the husband alive if he…

That Christian Chicken Place.

Chik-fil-A, What Gives? … And Other Thoughts.

I know that some who work at Chik-Fil-A don’t share the same viewpoint as the guy who runs the company (I mean, I hope not, right?), and made his opinion quite known about being against gay marriage… which is why I feel bad for considering not patronizing their restaurant further because of his said stance on gay marriage.  I feel like my not patronizing their restaurants is taking money out of…

My Mental Doppleganger.

title is true, but not what this blog is about.  this blog about stuff... reflecting on my foil character in life.. my doppleganger.  (I'll wait... I recommend merriam-webster).  so ya know, I've been grappling a LOT lately with: just who the kcuf am I?  ok yeah, I'm technically a Mormon (comments to yourself, please and thank you) and as much as I respect these people, I am "not" these people.  I'm looking at my little Mere bear thinking to myself, do I really…
