Monday morning I woke up depressed and rolled over to go back to sleep. Eventually the call of nature compelled me to get out of bed and so in need of coffee, I drove to a local gas station and bought a giant cup of Java and a breakfast burrito. Returning to the motel I decided to take a day off from the road and paid for a second night in my room.
I surfed the internet with MSNBC on in in the background. Slept for a few hours on and off, smoked cigarettes and drank beer then I…Continue
Debate Number One A Win For Trump
Monday evening September 26th was a promising spectacle awaiting an estimated 100 million viewers across America. Did they get what they expected? Yes and no.…Continue
I concede that she is a little anal. Her preparations were intense and her outlook is fierce. That is what a woman has to do to get by in the male oriented mess. She nailed it at the debates and the old cocaine sniffing Trump lost. Bigly. Im sick and tired of people moaning about…Continue
Puffing and Huffing at Hofstra
This will not be adding yet another partisan re-hash of last night’s fish fry on Long Island.
The event was a natural consequence of the candidates’ very different approach to debate preparation.
Clinton closeted herself with skilled cosmeticians (both literal and figurative) and liberal academics who refreshed their charge’s ability to regurgitate the political pap that has sustained her and hers for the last 30 years. The…Continue
If federal, state, and local governments combined raised your effective income tax rate by 15% and consumer demand were strong enough to make investing in American goods and services (which would create private sector jobs) seriously profitable, would you invest in them?

He showed himself last night a model candidate for a cultural era wherein personal, political, expectations, and those for intellectual curiosity have tumbled to earth, bored themselves beneath the dirt, a time of prizing brusque (or sappy) emotional appeals over reasoned, civil argument, over honest exchange and sincere attempts at consensus/compromise, a time in which we've long since taught that all…Continue
Tonight at the debate we watched an economic argument about taxing the wealthy unfold, but it mainly consisted of the two candidates taking swings at each other. Hillary says making the wealthy pay their fair share will help the economy. Trump says it will drive jobs offshore.
No, it won't, but Hillary didn't explain why it won't. If…Continue
Libertarian Johnson Urging Humanity To Inhabit Other Planets: In a recent interview with George Stephanopoulos, Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson suggested that because of things such as global warming and the fact the sun will eventually grow and encompass the Earth, we had better start to consider sending people to other planets. Wow, this has sure been some election! Trump wants to deport everyone out of the country and now Gary Johnson…Continue
Snake Charmer Dies During Viper Demo: A German “snake charmer” has died after being bitten by a viper during an event aimed at helping audiences overcome their fear of snakes. A snake charmer bitten by a snake? I’ll have to assume the snake must not have found him all that charming. My question is, why would anyone want to teach people to overcome a fear of venomous snakes?…Continue
Im obsessed with this photo of a sunrise I saw from my deck. For days I have been formulating a plan to capture this moment and put it on a canvas. I finally went to Walmart and got a 12 by 16 canvas and a little white paint to beef up my arsenal. I have assembled all my tools and am ready to…Continue

I was meditating on the little hill in front of our house yesterday morning while, unbeknownst to me, a killer lurked a few feet away.
Peering down, I reflexively…
