Justin Bieber Turned Down $5 Million to Play Republican Convention

Justin Bieber Turned Down $5 Million to Play Republican Convention:  Bankrolled by GOP donors, Republicans reportedly offered Justin Bieber $5 million to play a 45-minute set at a venue near where the convention was held, but he turned them down.  The deal reportedly went sour after Trump told Bieber that he’ll insist the Mexicans pay for it.  And while I’m no fan of Trump and company, I’m not sure I could have turned down $5 million.  Guess its a good thing…

Eugene Hunter and his philsophy about my musicianmanship

Stan played the organ.  Deb Green played the piano.  Everybody there knows me, but they don't want to acknowledge what they know because what they know is more about themselves than what they 'know' about me.

I play music too.  I play instruments too.  What does anyone care?  They don't.  So, ask yourself this; how much should I care about you and why you think I need to waste my time around you when I am a real musician too.

I guess you just stalk me to insult me.

Summer in the City

New York City to be specific.

NYC can be hot and smelly in the Summer (think of the stink of stale piss on a hot summer sidewalk - yukh!).  For that reason, in the old days the rich got themselves out of town - to “cottages” that they built in Newport, or in the Hamptons.  Others built their summer places in lower New York State.  Even now many well to do folks get a summer…

Last week my friend Alberta and her friend Belinda invited me to go with them for a dip in the river.

I declined - it was horribly hot to venture outside, and though the water would be cool, even cold (coming down from the mountains), I am not a water person ("All right, I got…

Online Dating Or Why I Decided My Time Was Better Spent Watching Nymphomaniac

I think I have mentioned I have been attempting to "date" via the online dating sites at the age of 60 -- OK, I'm 61, now, whatever that has to do with reality.  It's been a more hostile environment than I last remember it.  I believe it has to do with the challenging economy if you aren't of the 1% and your income goes away or restructures.

There are a lot of scammers on those sites but they have such a weird delivery to…

Before I go

OK, I'm not leaving because my feelings have been hurt!  I'm leaving because I have too much in my life to deal with these days. I've been caring for Mom for nine years already, and it's all consuming.  I simply don't have time to deal with the bullshit that comes with posting an occasional thought. That's why I post so rarely.  I have had plenty of grief in my life, but I don't use it as an excuse to attack others.  Maybe some people feel the need to lash out because they have had it…

Climate Change--A More Urgent Kind

Climate Change—A More Urgent Kind

Events do not occur in a cultural vacuum. It is undeniable that today’s police killing in San Diego, the latest in an astonishing accumulation of violence against law enforcement, is part of a developing pattern of priority misalignment.

During the last eight years, Obama and his administration have consistently undervalued the importance of law…

We Can Never Rest Easy

Someone posted on fb that they were waiting till Nov 5 when the election was all over and he could rest easy.  I commented that "You can never rest easy." Who do you trust?  No one   I am even wondering about Bernie and how he came to run against Hillary.  Is his influence in the…

Small agitated murky pond

I actually have one of those in my back yard.  A small agitated murky pond.  This will be it's 5th winter coming up.  A 7200 gallon above ground pool, that the chlorine evaporated out of and we threw some cat fish and bass fish in. …

Pscooter & Pskipper Get Psychedelic in Pseattle

The kids are getting older–they’re in high school now–and with summer jobs and college campus visits, every year it’s harder to squeeze in the special family time of aggravation and bickering we used to experience during summer vacations.

“We need to get away and just do it,” my wife said. “Someplace far, like the west coast.”…

Wisconsin Policeman Had Sex on the Job 98 Times

Wisconsin Policeman Had Sex on the Job 98 Times: A Wisconsin police officer has resigned following an internal investigation that showed he had sex 98 times while on duty, a violation of numerous department polices and procedures. Wow, if you get pulled over by this guy, you know you’re screwed. I guess its not too surprising though considering the sign on the side of their police cars says “to protect and service.” Being a huge law enforcement advocate, Gov…
