for the holiday feed an artist.....suggestions welcome

They say great artists’ merits are never really acknowledged in their lifetimes, but maybe this holiday we could make an exception and instead of supporting Big Box stores or blah malls, see if we can throw a few crumbs toward working writers, musicians and painters.

If anyone reading this has a suggestion of someone they know making or creating arts, crafts,…

“Her professionalism aside, Nabisase’s victory was rigged by an endomorph and a goblin standing in crabgrass, and she would never know it. There are so many lives decided in this way.”

The Ecstatic follows the messy story of a big man in a purple suit who likes to clean; an ivy league dropout from a family of crazies who writes…

Is this it? The end?

The requested URL /blog/doloresflores_d was not found on this server.

Or will it be up and running later today as if nothing happened?

Oh. It's like OpenSalon is on hospice. Or is it over and I'm just in denial?

This blog was originally posted on my website on October 29th.

These days I wake up and before drinking coffee, before fully opening my eyes, I check the latest polls at RealClearPolitics on my phone, and worry about the state of the nation.

I worry about the Frankenstorm rolling…

With any new site, we understand that finding your way around can be a bit daunting. To help you use our site, we have a few resources and tips, all of which can be found on pages under the ABOUT tab in your top menu bar. They are:

FAQ- here you can find some quick answers to general questions, questions about privacy and about site features.

Site News, Tips & Tricks- this is our forum where you can find tips on using the site, news about site changes and other information from the staff and other members.

Our Terms Of Service and Our Copyright Policy can also be found under the ABOUT tab.

You may also find additional help by going to chat and asking another member. Chat can be found in 2 place: There is a CHAT link in your top menu which will open chat in your browser.

The other option is to use the small tabs at the bottom of most pages. The tab named "Opium Den" (our chat name) will open the chat in a small pop up window at the bottom of the screen. This window can also be 'popped-out' and used as a separate window.

There is also a "Members Online" tab on the bottom of your page. This will show which other members are logged in(logged in does not mean they are active in the chat, simply they are logged in to the site). There is a small speaker icon which will allow you to adjust the chat beeps which many prefer to turn off or down when not actively chatting.

We have many excellent features and tools here. While it may seem overwhelming at first, the basics of posting and commenting are simple and before too long we hope you will feel comfortable and at home.
