"A hollow apology is not an apology at all.
A spoken apology that is not accompanied by a change in the behavior that necessitated and precipitated the apology to begin with, is lacking in sincerity and, as such, is a falsehood..."
"Yes, I agree, and I think that is the 'voice of experience.' What you'd like in return is what you put out. Works both ways. If people bristle, such as in my case, why are they surprised someone bristles back?!…"
"Sparring is unnecessary. Lately I’ve limited some of my sparring here because I’ve decided to. I read something, want to answer, and then ask myself Why? What will it accomplish other than getting into an argument? The person I’d…"
"Thanks, Kosh. We both have that duality -- a knowing of something outside the veneer, and I think choice IS in the matter. I do like your phrasing, and thought on that. But I chose want it to, because it keeps the piece in the flux…"
"nothing can abrade you unless you want it to
Not quite how I’d phrase it, though as stated it contains an element of truth. I’d say - not in terms of poetry, just content - nothing can abrade you unless you let it.
Not an easy…"
"Thank you, Ron! And, I think you are right -- it is sort of the centre of the conundrum, ouroboros that was the squeaky wheel all along. The 'nugget.' Thanks for saying that you had such an experience as well, and that it…"
"Hidey, Kosh .. I've mentioned this before with you, at least about formatting. The font is just American Typewriter, and I was using Libre Office's wp, but -- I've no idea about the caps. You know my usual, I cap within, not…"
"Wow! Thanks, Monkey! Guess I had a lot to spat, in order to ounce it down to -- just that!!
Glad someone else understands the head-fwanging involved!
(btw - no idea why i can't stop it being on Bold. formatting is sorta…"
"Thanks, Anna, too -- yes, the fabric of our country is indeed woven of many cultures. Some cities seem to thrive on the ethnicities of their neighborhoods more than others. We did a picnic today, everyone made something, and it was real…"
"Thanks, FM -- I was just thinking about hope, as I strolled around the neighborhood and watched fireworks by the neighbors, the natives are restless! But there IS much hope, with the incoming, even as it seems to wane in others, and to think…"
I am a mechanical bird. I fly, dive, and flutter about things, curious, ... yet -- I am but a machine. I am the product of the times I came into. All is mechanical. My clockwork works - exactly. You can see by the meter of my words that something is precise about me. I know not why; I am not the Originator of these things. They only come to me. They tick, or they whirr, or they may, by chance, chime. No matter - I hear, and respond to them. I myself am quite delighted by these Missives that come my way, and my dearest love is the language I came in with, English. It isn't the words themselves; more - it is the very capability of being able to iterate what I have been given to feel.
