Making The Most Of Your Bridal Show Experience

Posted on November 10, 2014 at 8:02pm 9 Comments

It’s hard to believe it is that time of year again – crisp weather, bare trees, fluffy knitted scarves … that’s right, it’s Bridal Show Season! It’s the time when wedding vendors all catch their collective breath, do a short dance of excitement and relief at having made the wedding day dreams of so many couples come true over the past year, and then furiously begin to prepare for the flood of potential new clients at the bridal…

I was RAK'd!

Posted on September 27, 2014 at 12:03pm 5 Comments

At the end of a long, hard, painful day, looking and feeling much older than my 50 years, I stopped in the west end CVS for a few items last night. I'm hoping I don't run into anyone I know as I have just enough pride left in my world to rarely venture out in public like that; greasy hair, work-dirty smelly old T-shirt, in ratty sweat pants and without any attempt to be even slightly presentable.

I'm looking for my…

Welcome!

With any new site, we understand that finding your way around can be a bit daunting. To help you use our site, we have a few resources and tips, all of which can be found on pages under the ABOUT tab in your top menu bar. They are:

FAQ- here you can find some quick answers to general questions, questions about privacy and about site features.

Site News, Tips & Tricks - this is our forum where you can find tips on using the site, news about site changes and other information from the staff and other members.

Our Terms Of Service and Our Copyright Policy can also be found under the ABOUT tab.

You may also find additional help by going to chat and asking another member. Chat can be found in 2 place: There is a CHAT link in your top menu which will open chat in your browser.

The other option for opening chat is to use the small tabs at the bottom of most pages. The tab named "Opium Den" (our chat name) will open the in a small pop up window at the bottom of the screen. This window can also be resized or 'popped-out' and used as a separate window.

There is a "Members Online" tab on the bottom of your page too. This will show which other members are logged in (logged in does not mean they are active in the chat, simply they are logged in to the site). There is a small speaker icon which will allow you to adjust the chat beeps which many prefer to turn off or down when not actively chatting.

We have many excellent features and tools here. While it may seem overwhelming at first, the basics of posting and commenting are simple and before too long we hope you will feel comfortable and at home.

Bang around, explore, write, comment and most of all have fun!
